Job summary

Glanville Environmental is seeking a proactive Site Manager (Planned Civils) to lead delivery of wastewater/cleanwater projects from Exeter depot, covering the Southwest including East Cornwall and North Devon. The role is permanent and full‑time, with a competitive salary, a company car or car allowance, and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience in wastewater/cleanwater infrastructure.
• Technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and regulations.
• NEC4 contract knowledge advantageous.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills for multi‑team management.
• Ability to manage multiple sites in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication and client facing skills.
• Relevant construction qualifications and CSCS Gold Card or above.

Responsibilities

• Manage safe and efficient delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate programmes to hit milestones and deadlines.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and forecasts with commercial teams.
• Support pre-construction activities with site visits and buildability input.
• Coordinate with local authorities, highways and statutory bodies.
• Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM and temporary works.
• Produce and review RAMS, site documentation and project records.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and quality checks.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs while maintaining client relationships.
