Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support resilience works for South West Water across Cornwall. You will lead teams across multiple sites, set up a local yard, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery aligned with programme requirements.

You will manage RAMS and permits, coordinate resources, and maintain strong client relationships while driving safety and efficiency across a regional area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar site leadership role in water, utilities or operational environments.
• Experience in the water industry is advantageous, especially managing works around operational assets and coordinating multiple teams.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness is essential and you will uphold standards across sites.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to build relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage changing priorities across a regional area.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site activities across multiple locations throughout Cornwall.
• Leading construction teams, subcontractors and operational resources to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Coordinating resources, materials and plant to meet programme requirements.
• Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications, quality and client standards.
• Managing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements across all site activities.
• Ensuring RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place and followed.
• Monitoring progress, productivity and quality, addressing issues to maintain programme.
• Working with Site Engineers and Project Managers to resolve technical/operational challenges.
• Building strong relationships with South West Water, operational teams and stakeholders.
• Supporting communication across sites and reporting progress and issues promptly.
• Supporting setup and day-to-day operation of the local yard.
• Promoting a positive safety culture and high workmanship standards.

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team, supporting the delivery of resilience works for South West Water across Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who enjoys leading teams, managing multiple sites and playing a key role in delivering essential water infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with our client, operational teams and local stakeholders.

The role will cover works across Cornwall, including Newquay and Truro, with a local yard being established to support the delivery of the programme.

Here are some of the activities you'll be involved in...

• Managing day-to-day site activities across multiple locations throughout Cornwall.

• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality requirements and client standards.
• Managing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements across all site activities.
• Ensuring RAMS, permits, briefings and other site documentation are in place and being followed.
• Monitoring progress, productivity and quality, identifying issues and taking action to maintain programme.
• Working closely with Site Engineers and Project Managers to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Building strong relationships with South West Water, operational teams, local stakeholders and customers where required.
• Supporting effective communication across multiple sites and ensuring progress and issues are reported promptly.
• Supporting the set-up and day-to-day running of the local yard.
• Promoting a positive safety culture and high standards of workmanship across the delivery teams.

We'd love to hear from you if...

You have proven experience as a Site Manager or similar site leadership role, with a background in water, utilities or another operational environment. You'll be confident managing teams and subcontractors across multiple sites, with a strong focus on safe and efficient delivery.

Experience of working within the water industry would be highly advantageous, particularly where you have been responsible for managing works around operational assets, coordinating different teams and working to client and programme requirements.

Strong Health & Safety awareness is essential, together with the confidence to ensure standards are maintained across multiple sites and to challenge where necessary.

You'll also have strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public where required. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing changing priorities across a regional area.

A SMSTS qualification, CSCS Black Manager Card and EUSR Water Hygiene are desirable. A full UK valid UK driving licence is essential.
