Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their client's team in North Leicestershire on a 6-month rolling contract. The successful applicant will oversee site operations on sewage treatment works, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree and extensive experience in the water industry, ideally with Tier 1 companies.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years' experience with Tier 1 Principal Contractors in the water industry.
  • Background as a Site Engineer (preferred).

Job description

Your new company
Our client, a Tier 1 contractor operating in the water industry, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in North Leicestershire on a 6-month rolling contract. You will be working on sewage treatment works with the scope of work including, but not limited to, inlet works and a balance tank, storm tank and pumping remedial works, oxidation ditch, as well as decommissioning of redundant plant and equipment.
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella)

As Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing direct labour and subcontractors
  • Coordinating all day-to-day site operations
  • Maintaining an accurate site diary
  • Liaising with the client
  • Undertaking site audits and inspections
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to expected quality.


What you'll need to succeed
Key requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Appointed Person (AP) - Lifting qualification
  • Temporary Work Coordinator (TWC) certification
  • 5 - 10 years' experience with Tier 1 Principal Contractors in the water industry
  • Background as a Site Engineer (preferred).
