Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced General Foreman / Site Manager for a major wastewater treatment works project near Bournemouth. The role involves supervising site operations, coordinating construction activities and ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards on a high-stakes civil engineering site.

You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team, overseeing labour, plant and subcontractors to keep the programme on track and resolving on-site issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Foreman or Site Manager in civil engineering.
• Background in water industry or utilities construction.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• SMSTS qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily site operations across the wastewater treatment works project.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project progress.
• Monitoring civil engineering and water infrastructure works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Allocating labour, plant and materials effectively across the site.
• Working closely with the Site Manager, engineers and project management team.
• Identifying and resolving site issues to support the programme and delivery milestones.
• Completing site records, inspections and progress updates as required.
