Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking a Site Manager to oversee Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on Southern Water projects. You will manage direct labour and subcontractors, ensure permits are issued, and drive cost-effective delivery while meeting client expectations.

Responsibilities include maintaining programme deadlines, site paperwork, audits, and liaison with client representatives. A strong background in utilities with relevant safety certifications is required.

Qualifications

  • Previous Team Lead/Supervisory experience in Utilities (preference for clean water).
  • NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
  • CAT & GENNY trained and competent.
  • EUSR Water hygiene certification.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS training.
  • Awareness of Streetworks Noticing / CoP and SLG site setups.
  • Knowledge of Pipe Joint Methods (electrofusion/butt fusion).
  • Good IT skills and driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SHEQ on sites, ensuring safety and environmental standards.
  • Secure permits and manage direct labour, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and client requirements.
  • Maintain programme deadlines and cost-effective delivery.
  • Record and report incidents, audits and site paperwork.
  • Coordinate with client representatives and internal teams.
