Overview

Site Manager - 111kV Switchgear Replacement (UKPN Project) – Location: Peterborough. Start Date: ASAP. Contract Type: CIS or PAYE Umbrella only. Rate: Minimum £400/day (negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the client to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure all site activities comply with UKPN standards and relevant regulations.
• Manage site documentation, reporting, and health & safety compliance.
• Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS are followed.

Essential Qualifications & Training

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• 3-Day First Aid at Work
• Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator
• Manual Handling Training
• Asbestos Awareness Certification

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience managing HV electrical infrastructure projects, ideally within UKPN frameworks.
• Strong understanding of switchgear systems and electrical safety.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain high standards of site discipline.
• This is a CIS or PAYE Umbrella role only.
• Minimum £400/day - negotiable depending on experience.
