Job description

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Site Manager to join us as part of our @one Alliance.

What will you be doing as our new Site Manager?

Based on designated sites, you’ll lead supervisors, delivery teams, and subcontractors, ensuring resources are utilized optimally to meet budgets and delivery programs while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in flagging operational issues to Project Delivery Managers and encouraging your team to work proactively and innovatively to resolve on-site issues and keep projects on track.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Provide active positive leadership of Health & Safety on site to support and sustain our industry-leading low incident frequency rate.
  2. Drive cultural change within Delivery/Design Teams to eliminate or minimize waste, including recycling and reducing stand time.
  3. Oversee site-based Supervisors, Delivery Teams, and supply chain management to ensure timely, safe, and within-budget project completion.
  4. Coach and address underperformance to reduce conflict and optimize team performance.
  5. Support initiatives by understanding design and project requirements to ensure minimal disruption.
  6. Maintain key site documentation including Health & Safety records, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, site changes, and contracts, ensuring compliance with legislation and @one standards.
  7. Specify procurement requirements for plant, materials, and subcontractors using appropriate financial systems.
  8. Collaborate with project teams and program planners via online portals to proactively manage site performance.
  9. Participate in collaborative planning and rehearsals to optimize buildability at the design stage.
  10. Promote quality workmanship through a right-first-time approach, proactively record defects, and ensure timely rectification.
Skills, experience, and behaviors:

You should hold a certificate in Site Safety Management (or completed a 5-day course), a managerial CSCS card, and have extensive Water (preferably Water Recycling), Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction industry experience. Additional qualifications include SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme), First Aid at Work, and certification as a Fire Marshall, emphasizing safety.

You should have a proven track record of leading diverse teams, combining excellent site knowledge with commercial acumen to minimize costs and maximize value during construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project/program management skills are expected. Leading by example with fairness and assertiveness, you will embody our values of safety and innovation to deliver outstanding site performance.
