INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

Job Title – Site Manager

Project – Commercial Project (Student Accommodation)

Job Location – North London

Salary – £50K - £60K + package (based on experience)

About the Company

Working with a very reputable Tier 1 Main Contractor who specialise in high value residential and commercial developments across the water. This project will be a Student Accommodation based in North London.

The successful candidate will gain invaluable experience supporting the Site Manager and working with one of the UK’s Leading Main Contractors on high valued projects.

Previous experience in heavy basement, concrete frame and RC Works is essential therefore an engineering background is desirable.

This project is due to start in September 2024 and is due to run for 2 years.

The Role:

• Coordination and supervision of the construction of new build RC Frame Development.
• Be the number one on site for all activities and act as a point of contact for direct staff, subcontractors, clients and design team when SM is absent.
• Report into and support the Contracts Manager and Project Manager.
• Oversee commercial projects and manage manpower on site including, direct staff and subcontractors.
• Consult with local authorities and clients when required.
• Managing sub-contractors and personnel on site to ensure that productivity levels are high.
• Supervise works on site and ensure the quality of works and that they are done on time and in budget.
• Plan and coordinate the daily requirements of the site including labour, procurement of materials, and meeting deadlines.
• Ensure that company policies including H&S policies are adhered to on site.
• Perform company compliance and administration procedure and record performance and progress of site operations.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Construction Management or similar.
• A minimum of 5 years proven experience with a Main Contractor in a Senior Role
• Ideally will have experience taking RC Frame projects valued over £10M out of the ground and through to fit out and handover stages.
• Engineering background is desirable.
• Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
• Flexible for travel.
