Job description

Role: Site Manager
Location: Pontefract
New Build Housing

The role

Linsco is working with a national developer who is looking for an experienced Site Manager based in the Pontefract area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with house builder experience to join a well-established and award-winning company.

Some duties

  1. Managing the development to maintain and deliver the build programme in accordance with budgets and forecasts. Ensuring that the final product is to the highest standard.
  2. Full responsibility and control of all site staff and sub-contractors including labour only groundworkers/contractors, ensuring that all employees comply with our Health and Safety standards.
  3. Liaison with head office, NHBC and local authority departments.
  4. Timely ordering of materials ensuring the build programme can be achieved.
  5. Ensure all NHBC inspections are carried out as required.
  6. Carry out hand over inspection of properties to the customers in accordance with our customer care procedures.
  7. Complete as soon as practicably possible any customer care defects raised in conjunction with our customer care team.
  8. Actively encourage a philosophy of safety, progress, quality and innovation.
  9. Knowledge and experience of managing labour only groundworkers/contractors.
  10. Excellent knowledge of construction build programme.
  11. Strong commercial awareness.
  12. Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes.
  13. Experience of successfully achieving customer service requirements.
  14. Aware of codes of practice that impact on Construction matters e.g. NHBC, Building Regs, etc.
