Your new company
You will be joining an established civil engineering contractor based in Shropshire, operating across the water, highways and energy industries. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work with a range of repeat Tier 1 contractors and local authorities across the West Midlands region, with upcoming long-term schemes in Oswestry (canal bridge) and Worcester (sewage treatment works). They offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, and due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Site Manager to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based in the West Midlands counties.


Your new role
As Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification
  • Supervising direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and coordination
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing regular reports for senior management
  • Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications
  • Maintaining accurate site records.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven successful site management experience within the civil engineering industry, ideally within the water sector
  • CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
