Site manager/ Health & safety Officer

Location: Silverstone

Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Term time only)

Hours: 8:15-4:45

Are you experienced in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school site, buildings, and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and presentable.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team and oversee external contractors.
  • Maintain high standards of Health and Safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
  • Supervise external contractors for maintenance or repairs.
  • Ensure security of the school premises.
  • Possess practical DIY skills for minor repairs.
  • Understand Health and Safety regulations.
  • Pay attention to detail and be proactive in maintenance tasks.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Work independently and manage time effectively.

Safer Recruitment Requirements:

  • Willingness to undergo checks: Enhanced DBS, references, Overseas Police Check if applicable.
