Overview

Job Title: Site Manager – Groundworks

Location: Birmingham & Across the Midlands

Contract Type: Freelance / Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a busy and growing Groundworks Contractor with multiple live sites across Birmingham and the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable and motivated Site Manager to take charge of groundworks packages on residential and commercial schemes, overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring high standards of safety, quality and productivity. IMMEDIATE START available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all aspects of groundworks on site including earthworks, drainage, foundations, services & externals
  • Coordinating and managing site teams, sub-contractors and plant
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Working closely with the Project Manager and commercial team
  • Ordering materials, scheduling deliveries and maintaining site records
  • Chairing site meetings and managing daily briefings / toolbox talks
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the groundworks / civil engineering sector
  • Background in managing groundwork packages on housing, commercial or infrastructure projects
  • SMSTS (essential)
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work across multiple sites in Birmingham and the wider Midlands area
  • UK driving licence
