Overview

Role: Site Manager - Groundswork

Salary: up to £40,000 plus company car and bonus

Location: Leeds

We are seeking a Site Manager - Groundswork to join our team in Leeds.

The role is critical to operational efficiency and risk management of our on-site functions, being responsible for managing a successful delivery of projects on site including collaboration with internal stakeholders, monitoring health and safety, legal and programme compliance as well as an opportunity to travel.

As a Site Manager - Groundswork, you will:

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and manage / coordinate site works to successfully deliver the groundworks
• Provide support to the wider England and Wales Hire project teams to ensure that the general requirements of the site / project
• Ensure that all works and operations are in accordance with applicable quality systems e.g. ISO 9001 and VQS
• Complete RAMS evaluations or support site management in the same, ensure sites are planned, managed and regulations are adhered to
• Work collaboratively with all members of the Groundworks team to protect and enhance project income and margin.

Essential Criteria

• Strong experience in construction related roles with a broad knowledge of construction relating to Groundworks. Including materials, trades, H&S related considerations, building methods and legal requirements
• Great communications skills, being collaborative whilst driving efficiencies and best practice
• Experience with a fast paced construction environment at supervisor / management level
• Proven experience of managing health and safety relating to Site Operations (to include preparation of RAMS)
• Proven competence in interpreting construction information (surveys, drawings, specifications and the like)
• A full UK driving licence
