About Us:
Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd is a leading company specialising in gas infrastructure projects across the UK.
We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee gas connection works, ensuring safety, quality, and project delivery standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise teams delivering gas connection works, including alterations, extensions, replacements, and reinforcement activities.
- Oversee and coordinate labour across the connections workstream for both standard and non-standard projects.
- Plan, schedule, and programme daily and weekly work activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Manage and monitor team holiday requests, ensuring timely submission to both internal management and the client to maintain contingency and business continuity.
- Complete monthly team compliance audits covering mains laying, service laying, plant operation, site documentation, and overall site standards.
- Ensure all work activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards at all times.
- Manage material ordering, procurement, and resource allocation to meet project demands.
- Deliver regular Toolbox Talks and monthly technical and safety audits for all teams.
- Maintain and update operative training and competency records to ensure compliance.
- Identify, report, and escalate variations and operational challenges to senior management promptly.
- Represent Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd professionally during all interactions with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Promote sustainable working methods, encouraging recycling and correct waste management practices across all sites.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–10 years' experience supervising gas construction or maintenance projects (up to 7 bar).
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety, with SSSTS certification.
- NVQ Level 4 Gas Network Engineering, NCO Gas, or UNCS (preferred).
- SCO 1, 2, 4, and 5 qualifications (or willing to obtain).
- EUSR SHEA Gas registration.
- SWQR Supervisor Units 001 and 010–016.
- Emergency First Aid certification (preferred).
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean).
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Desirable:
- IGEM Engineering Technician membership.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
- Deep excavation and trench support knowledge.
- Auditing experience.
