Qualifications

Location:Various Sites across East of England (March Office / Northampton Office / Hybrid)

About Us:

Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd is a leading company specialising in gas infrastructure projects across the UK.

We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee gas connection works, ensuring safety, quality, and project delivery standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise teams delivering gas connection works, including alterations, extensions, replacements, and reinforcement activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate labour across the connections workstream for both standard and non-standard projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and programme daily and weekly work activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage and monitor team holiday requests, ensuring timely submission to both internal management and the client to maintain contingency and business continuity.
  • Complete monthly team compliance audits covering mains laying, service laying, plant operation, site documentation, and overall site standards.
  • Ensure all work activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards at all times.
  • Manage material ordering, procurement, and resource allocation to meet project demands.
  • Deliver regular Toolbox Talks and monthly technical and safety audits for all teams.
  • Maintain and update operative training and competency records to ensure compliance.
  • Identify, report, and escalate variations and operational challenges to senior management promptly.
  • Represent Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd professionally during all interactions with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Promote sustainable working methods, encouraging recycling and correct waste management practices across all sites.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5–10 years' experience supervising gas construction or maintenance projects (up to 7 bar).
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety, with SSSTS certification.
  • NVQ Level 4 Gas Network Engineering, NCO Gas, or UNCS (preferred).
  • SCO 1, 2, 4, and 5 qualifications (or willing to obtain).
  • EUSR SHEA Gas registration.
  • SWQR Supervisor Units 001 and 010–016.
  • Emergency First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (clean).
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • IGEM Engineering Technician membership.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Deep excavation and trench support knowledge.
  • Auditing experience.
