Job description

Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a leading tier one contractor with their search for site manager to oversee the delivery of a new build project in Cambridge, comprising of multiple shell starter units, similar in specification to retail parks and light industrial warehouses paying a annual salary of up to £70,000 PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full on-site management and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and site protocols are upheld at all times.
  • Monitor project milestones and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Liaise with the project team, including the client, QS, and design professionals.
  • Maintain site records, reports, and schedules in line with project requirements.
  • Manage quality assurance and snagging processes throughout the build.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing shell unit construction or similar retail/industrial developments.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential).
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Track record of managing similar-scale projects to completion.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in the Cambridge area or surrounding region.
  • Knowledge of modern construction methods and sustainability practices.
