Job description

Our client is one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland.

They are now seeking to recruit an experienced Site Supervisor with a civils/groundworks bias to join the team within their Construction Division.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will preferably come from an engineering background or have a good understanding of engineering requirements. Candidates must have a proven track record of success in the safe delivery of high quality, medium to large scale projects to budget and programme.

Day to day duties and responsibilities will typically include but not be limited to:

1. Assisting with overseeing the external works packages to completion, with a focus on coordinating and monitoring the works on site, along with the implementation of the QA process which will include regular liaison with the client/end user.
2. Directing and supervising day to day operations of operatives and sub-contractors ensuring application of common operational procedures that comply with health and safety requirements.
3. Ensuring material requisitions are issued in adequate time to stay within the constraints of the programme as well as managing the delivery.
4. Ensuring a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections.
5. Ensuring works are carried out safely, fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s policies.
