Salary: £25,584 - £27,711 per annum
The High School is a member of the Education Trust, an expanding multi-academy trust with 11 primary and 9 secondary schools.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with high standards and effective communication skills to join our school as a Site Manager / Caretaker.

Key Responsibilities
Care and Maintenance
- Perform routine care and maintenance tasks, such as fire alarm testing and water hygiene testing;
- Undertake cleaning duties not covered by cleaners, including emergency clean-ups and heavy-duty cleaning;
- Ensure proper functioning of heating, lighting, and ventilation systems;
- Address urgent repairs or coordinate contractors for repairs;
- Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards;
- Maintain equipment and property in good condition;
- Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring security;
- Supervise cleaning staff to meet required standards;
- Provide out-of-hours on-call support as agreed;
- Manage stock levels for maintenance and cleaning supplies, placing orders as needed.
Health and Safety
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safety measures;
- Maintain accurate health and safety records;
- Respond promptly to safety concerns raised by staff;
- Stay updated with relevant policies and procedures;
- Adhere to COSHH and manual handling regulations;
- Perform regular fire safety checks;
- Ensure proper training before carrying out safety-related tasks.
Support for Staff and Students
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment;
- Support teachers and staff with setup and dismantling of equipment;
- Provide support for school events and functions;
- Deliver parcels between sites;
- Manage ordering and stock control of equipment and materials;
- Collaborate with staff across the school and other Trust locations, providing support as needed.
