Site Manager – Biomedical Research Operations (UK-Based)

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee operations at a key UK facility, ensuring it operates with precision, efficiency, and integrity. This is your opportunity to join a global leader in life sciences that sets the gold standard in ethical research support and animal welfare.

What You’ll Do:

  • Take full responsibility for the daily operations and overall performance of a specialised animal research facility.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to implement strategic goals, optimise resources, and ensure the highest standards of compliance.
  • Oversee all aspects of site coordination—from regulatory adherence and animal welfare to budget management and staffing.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency while upholding industry-leading quality, AAALAC accreditation, and ISO9001:2015 certification.
  • Provide vital reporting and insights on site performance to the senior executive team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing operations in a similar sector—biomedical, research, or life sciences preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., ASPA 1986), and a proven ability to navigate compliance with Home Office and HSE standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, organisational and communication skills with a hands-on, people-first management approach.
  • Proficiency in financial oversight, data analysis, and project delivery.
  • A passion for innovation, excellence, and animal welfare.
  • A degree in business administration, life sciences, or a related field (not essential if you’ve got the experience).
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across regulatory, finance, procurement, and production.

Why Join Us? This is more than a job—it's a career where your leadership supports the critical development of treatments that improve lives globally. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking organisation committed to professional development, ethical standards, and scientific impact.

Travel across the UK and occasional EU trips required. Full training and onboarding provided.
