Job description

I am currently recruiting for a Site Manager for a main contractor based in Bedfordshire. The Main Contractor builds within sectors including Education, Healthcare, Residential and Commercial within London and the Home Counties with project values ranging between 1 - 15 million in value and projects are a mixture of new build, refurbishment and fit out projects.

The project involves the alteration and conversion of an existing building to provide 11 apartments for vulnerable residents, together with the construction of a two-storey timber frame building in the rear courtyard. Works include internal structural alterations, new windows, asbestos removal, and management of a site with Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) in place.

The Candidate - must be capable of delivering the project standalone reporting into a visiting contract manager and be able to do sequencing, short term programming, trade management, site inductions, raise permits, tool box talks, work to tight deadlines, influence H&S on site, Q/A etc. The candidate needs to be SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid qualified.

My client are looking to pay a competitive day rate with a view to being a temp to perm role which will include a basic salary, car allowance, travel, healthcare and pension with the position looking to start dependant on the candidate notice period.
