£60,000 + Package

Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a market leader in the Anaerobic Digestion sector, currently seeking a Site Manager to oversee daily operations at their Oxford site.

Package:
  • £55,000 - £60,000 basic salary

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of operators and maintenance staff responsible for daily operation of the AD plant, including planning, scheduling, performance monitoring, and training.
  2. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  4. Manage site budgets and resources, including procurement and maintenance coordination.
  5. Monitor and report on site performance, biogas production, and product quality; implement improvements as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate records of operations and maintenance activities.
  7. Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
  8. Provide technical support for new projects and initiatives.
  9. Liaise with local farmers and contractors regarding deliveries.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • WAMITAB COTC 4 (advantageous)
  • Telehandler/loading shovel experience
  • Ideally 5 years of relevant experience managing an AD plant or similar facility
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and management capabilities
  • Knowledge of anaerobic digestion, biogas production, and end product quality
