Worksop Priory CofE Academy in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to take responsibility for day-to-day management, security and upkeep of the school premises. You'll ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children, staff and visitors and oversee maintenance and contractor works.

We are looking for a practical, proactive individual with strongHealth and safety knowledge, good IT record-keeping, and the ability to work independently as well as with our Trust team,

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard.
  • Proactive, reliable and able to work on own initiative.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a school and Trust.
  • Experience in managing contractors and keeping records using IT systems.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
  • Willing to participate in safeguarding training and induction.
  • Strong community links and partnerships within SNMAT.

Responsibilities

Job description

Following the retirement of our long-serving and highly valued Site Manager, we are seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and skilled individual to join our committed school team. This is a varied and hands-on role that is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and wants to play a key part in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for our children, staff and visitors. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, security and upkeep of the school premises. Duties will include carrying out maintenance and repair work, overseeing contractors, managing health and safety compliance, monitoring building systems, undertaking site checks and ensuring the school grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. You will also act as a key holder and may be required to respond to site emergencies when necessary. We are looking for someone who will become an integral member of our school and the community that we serve.
