Job Description

A J Lowther and Son have a vacancy for a Site Manager based at our Factory in Whitchurch.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join our busy contracts team; the ideal candidate will be self motivated and have experience within the structural steelwork, cladding or an allied industry and in a site environment.

You will be responsible for the effective organisation and management of the Company’s site crews on our steel framed building and refurbishment projects.

Manage multiple sites and crews simultaneously, whilst also planning future projects.

Compile risk assessments, method statements and keep the projects health and safety file up to date.

Conduct detailed site surveys to assess conditions, verify measurements and identify potential risks or conflicts.

Undertake regular site visits and progress meetings.

Work with sales on construction timings and costs for estimating purposes.

Assist sales and designers with building and construction details.

The ideal applicant: -

Proven experience in a site or contracts manager role.

Ability to prioritise and meet the timescales required for the projects.

CSCS (Supervisor) & SMSTS Certification.

First Aid at Work

It would be advantageous if the applicant had IPAF (3a + 3b) & Appointed Person/Lift Supervisor status, although training can be provided in this area.
