A 5-star Regional House builder is currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager due to planned growth and the start of new developments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering housing developments from foundation through to completion, achieving build programmes, delivering quality homes and excellent customer service.

The roles of Site Manager

As a Site Manager, you will be well-established and confident in a standalone role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Contracts Manager with pre-start details involves supporting various project preparations.
  • Reporting progress to the Project / Contracts Manager, maintaining company Health & Safety procedures (such as PPE, Site Inductions, Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Work Permits, and equipment inspections), and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Managing defects, adhering to specifications, schedules, subcontractor conduct, and schemes like the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
  • Coordinating and leading the site team, helping prepare the Health and Safety file, and updating the Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as work progresses.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, the contract administrator, and head office, as well as managing site facilities like welfare, toilets, offices, and the compound.
  • Managing project-specific preliminaries, supervising subcontractors, preparing progress reports, and storing materials securely.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, attending meetings, and working with the Resident Liaison Officer to resolve resident and public complaints.
