We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of a construction project from initial groundworks through to final build completion in Watford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing all stages of the construction process, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day site operations, from groundworks to the final handover.
Coordinate all on-site activities and subcontractors to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Monitor project progress and implement schedules, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
Enforce health and safety compliance on-site, adhering to company and legal standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
Liaise with the project team, clients, engineers, and local authorities as required.
Manage site paperwork including RAMS, daily reports, timesheets, and material orders.
Resolve any on-site issues or delays quickly and effectively.
Lead regular site meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager with a strong focus on groundworks and full build projects.
Background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments preferred.
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold card), and First Aid certification.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and project management principles.
Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors.
Able to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Effective communicator with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Full UK driving licence and own transport.
