Job summary

A construction recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Site Manager for managing CDM-regulated sites in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in complex projects, particularly in renewable energy or bespoke commercial works. You must possess strong leadership skills and SMSTS certification. This role offers a daily rate of £250 for an initial duration of 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience managing CDM-compliant construction sites.
• Experience with solar or renewable energy projects is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage H&S compliance.

Overview

Harper’s are actively seeking a Site Manager with over 3 years' experience managing CDM-regulated sites. This is not your standard housebuilding role — we’re looking for someone with a proven track record delivering technically complex or non-residential projects, ideally with exposure to renewables, infrastructure, or bespoke commercial works.

• 3+ years' experience managing CDM-compliant construction sites
• SMSTS – essential
• CDM-C, IOSH, or similar health & safety qualification – highly desirable
• Experience with solar or renewable energy projects – a plus, not a must
• Strong organisational and leadership skills – someone who can take ownership, not just follow checklists

Role Context

We’re not looking for volume housing site managers – this role requires someone who understands the nuances of CDM, can work autonomously, and is confident managing H&S and compliance on unique sites.

Location: Cardiff

Rate: £250.00 per day (CIS payments optional)

Start Date: Immediately

Duration: 6 Months +
