Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £36,000 – £44,000 (Dependent on experience)
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Site Leader to manage the daily operations of our Cylinder Distribution Centre in Uxbridge. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee drivers and administrative staff to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations.

What You’ll Be DoingLead, motivate, and manage a multi-functional team of drivers and admin staff.
Plan and execute daily delivery schedules to ensure optimal vehicle and driver utilisation.
Ensure full compliance with all statutory, HSE, and company-specific policies and procedures.
Oversee stock control, cash handling, and cylinder reconciliation.
Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and right-first-time delivery.
Act as a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
Ensure the site and fleet operations meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Drive staff development through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
Champion excellent customer service across all areas of the cylinder and bulk gas business.
Proven leadership experience in a distribution, logistics, or service-led environment.
Strong knowledge of current transport regulations, including CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
Working understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation (IOSH/NEBOSH preferred).
Experience with hazardous goods and ADR regulations is desirable.
Good understanding of employment law and people management best practices.
Financial awareness with experience managing operational budgets and KPIs.
Confident IT skills and familiarity with fleet management systems.
