Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join our Asset department. You will manage the day-to-day running of defects and latent defects projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to high standards. You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to monitor site progress, budgets, and compliance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of building sites, ensuring projects meet standards and deadlines
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and suppliers, chairing regular site meetings
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety laws, design specs, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with suppliers for plant, labour, and materials, maintaining strict cost controls and providing progress updates
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure site safety and cleanliness
  • Oversee induction of subcontractors and review risk assessments and method statements
  • Keep accurate site records including registers, diaries, safety plans, and reports
  • Support the defects and aftercare team to complete new build defects promptly and to high standards
  • Participate in team meetings to foster collaboration

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*-C)
  • Current CSCS card holder
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project software like Asta PowerProject and Microsoft Project Planner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of handling conflict professionally
  • Full UK driving license and access to own transport
