Job description

PSR are working to find a Senior / Site Manager that has experience in managing large Industrial & Logistics projects. This Main Contractor is a large tier 1 Main Contractor with regional offices across England. Projects will require the Senior / Site Manager to lodge away. They have a strong pipeline of work and a track record of high-quality projects with some very high profile clients. This is a permanent opportunity.

This role can offer the Senior / Site Manager project variety, large scale projects, great company culture and a supportive environment for development.

Salary: between 55,000 - 70,000 (depending on experience) + car allowance + Healthcare + Bonus + other benefits.

Responsibilities of a Senior / Site Manager:

  • Assisting in the management of the programme.
  • Oversee the management of the day-to-day working on site.
  • Report progress on projects, including financial reporting with assistance of the team.
  • To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff, and equipment to help achieve project completion on time, to specification and within budget.
  • Ensure that the Site and Engineering Team order the correct materials and sub-contract services in suitable time to meet contract objectives.
  • Oversee the Daily supervision and co-ordination of on-site staff, sub-contractors, plant, and materials including Information management / meticulous record keeping of all relevant paperwork.
  • Manage site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Maintain strict quality control procedures, conduct regular site safety checks, Toolbox talks and inductions.
  • Ensure that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers leading to provision of a working environment that engenders high morale

Experience of the Senior / Site Manager:

  • Experience on project values over 15m
  • Applicants will have up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
  • Valid SMSTS and First Aid at Work
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to think ahead
