Here at Wates, we have an opportunity for a Site Manager to join our planned maintenance team in the Tamworth area. The project involves working with one of our existing social housing providers to build affordable housing, so we are ideally looking for you to have worked on similar projects previously.

The primary focus of this role will be to ensure a project is built safely, economically, within the agreed timescales, and to quality standards.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  1. Responsible for input into and programming of the works/short-term scheduling.
  2. Manage Operatives, Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers to ensure quality control, health and safety compliance.
  3. Attend pre- and post-inspection works, advise on appropriate actions, and assist with design solutions to ensure successful delivery and handover.
  4. Carry out weekly site progress reports per scheme, file electronically, and submit to the Project Manager.
  5. Ensure completed job packs and full documentation are sent to the Project Manager to facilitate swift invoicing and cash flow management.

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record in completing internal and external planned maintenance works.

To succeed, you will be an effective communicator with a positive, engaging leadership style. You should have strong IT skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
