Job summary

Protocol Education is looking for a reliable Caretaker for a North Bristol primary school. You will ensure the building and grounds are safe, secure, and well presented, working with external and internal contractors as needed.

The role covers early mornings and late afternoons, Monday to Friday, with DBS and safeguarding checks required. Start date November 2026. This temporary position offers an opportunity to contribute to a welcoming school environment.

• Communicate effectively with the school team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Carrying out Day-Day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the building and grounds are secure when not in use.
• Opening up the building in the morning and locking it at the end of the day.
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems are checked regularly to ensure they are operational.
• Responsibility for order equipment relevant to your role.

Protocol Education are working with a Primary School in North Bristol, who are looking to appoint a Caretaker. The amazing primary school would be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. You will be responsible for thesafety of the building and it's grounds, ensuring that the school is presentable, safe and effective.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced facilities professional who supervises work across the school with both external and internal contractors. You will have key holder responsibility as well as the responsibilities listed below;

Days & Hours - Monday - Friday, 7am-9am, then, 15:45pm-18:15pm.

Start date - November 2026

Skill set - Previous caretaking or facilities experience desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
