Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting reliable School Caretakers for daily supply cover across schools in Kensington & Chelsea and surrounding areas. You will help keep classrooms, corridors and grounds safe, clean and well maintained.

Ideal candidates have practical hands-on skills, punctuality and the ability to work independently, with DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one. Flexible short-term supply work offered by Protocol Education.

Schools across Kensington and Chelseaare currently looking for reliable, proactive School Caretakers to support with daily supply cover over the coming weeks.

This is a brilliant opportunity for practical, hands-on individuals who take pride in keeping school environments safe, clean and running smoothly. As a School Caretaker or Site Assistant, you’ll play an important role in making sure pupils and staff arrive each day to a school that feels secure, organised and well maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Opening and closing school premises

• Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs

• Ensuring school buildings and grounds are clean, safe and well maintained

• Completing routine health and safety checks

• Setting up rooms for lessons, assemblies and school events

• Monitoring site security and reporting any issues quickly

You’ll become the go-to person on site, someone who is calm, capable and ready to step in when things need sorting.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Assistant or Maintenance Operative (preferred)

• Strong practical skills and problem-solving ability

• Reliable, punctual and confident working independently

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
