Job description

Job Title: Site Manager

As a site manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations across multiple occupied properties, coordinating and supervising subcontractors, trades, and direct labor. You will ensure that works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

You will maintain clear and proactive communication with residents and client representatives, implement and monitor health and safety procedures, and ensure full compliance with CDM 2015.

Your responsibilities also include monitoring progress and productivity, reporting weekly to the project manager via a site reporting tool, managing all snagging and handovers, and ensuring defect-free completions. You will maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, reports, quality assurance documents, permits, training records, progress photos, material deliveries, and variation records. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving site issues effectively, minimizing disruption to residents and programs, and ensuring safeguarding and consideration of vulnerable residents at all times.

Key Criteria:

  • UK Full driving license
  • IT literacy – proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • SMSTS certification
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Previous experience dealing with multiple contractors

All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.

All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment commencement.
