Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Site Manager to lead multiple site projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery in line with CDM legislation and client standards.

You will have at least 10 years of industry experience, a related trade qualification, and a track record on Design and Build infrastructure, fabric or fit‑out works, with strong leadership and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years industry experience in relevant construction projects.
• Qualified in a related trade (mechanical, electrical, civil, fabric, roofing).
• Experience on Design and Build infrastructure, fabric or fit-out projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health and safety leadership to site delivery team and promote behavioural safety improvements.
• Support project risk management and ensure effective controls for safe, timely delivery.
• Co-ordinate all site activities and order general materials as required.
• Carry out regular toolbox talks and site manager safety audits.
• Maintain accurate records of works and expenditure and report to project manager.

Site managers must be qualified in a related trade, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, building fabric, roofing etc.The successful candidate will have at least 10 years industry experience and a demonstrable career, ideally working on Design and Build infrastructure, civil engineering, fabric or fit out projects for well-established clients.ResponsibilitiesProvide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery team and promote behavioural safety improvements.Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the project.Support project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance.Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at site level.Support where required the mandatory reporting of KPI's, Good Catches/Near Misses (GC/NM), accidents and incidents are carried out as per JLL Workplace Management UK&I and Client procedures.To ensure our suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.Carry out regular toolbox talks.Carry out daily activity briefings sub-contractors.Maintain accurate records of works done and expenditure reporting this information to the project manager where applicable.Liaise with the project manager to order general materials as required to complete the project.Co-ordinate all activities on site.Issue permits in compliance with CDMLiaise with the Client’s Project Manager to ensure that the works are delivered in accordance with the workbook.Carry out regular site manager safety audits and report findings to the management / safety team.To ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders.Deliver projects to programme as set by the senior management teamTo lead your team to deliver the company’s “management expectations” successfully across all key areas of the project, managing and supporting the individuals and team that are under your control to meet and exceed business performance targets.To enhance the strength of contract delivery to ensure highest standards of quality are maintained in accordance with programme delivery.To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and relevant Client Standards.Provide trade knowledge and support if required to ensure the quality and performance of the works.Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free.PersonalityBuild positive relationships with the team and stakeholders.Communicate using appropriate styles and methods.Project a professional demeanour with colleagues, clients and their customers.Ability to clearly communicate work tasks and win the commitment of others to achieving high levels of operational performance.SkillsClear and confident written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and skills to effectively problem solveHigh level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlinesSSSTS / SMSTSCity & Guilds /NVQ construction related qualificationJIB / BESAIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements below.
