Anderselite is currently working with a tier 1 contractor seeking a Site Manager to work within their Water division.

Location

Slough (working across Thames Valley, including Reading, Oxford, and Aylesbury).

Salary

Up to £60k + Package

The Role

The main purpose of the Site Manager is to oversee the management of construction sites to ensure project delivery aligns with customer objectives while maintaining health and safety standards, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. You will be responsible for delivering various projects to the specified quality, schedule, and commercial targets. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors to ensure projects are completed safely, with customer requirements and expectations met or exceeded.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Considerable experience in Civil Engineering and as a Site Manager for a contractor, delivering projects in a highly regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual costs, and value reporting.
• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS Certification (Mandatory).
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS certification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
• Confined space training.
• Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems effectively.
• Leadership qualities aligned with company values, motivating teams and ensuring high standards of compliance.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 software.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
