Job description
Overview

As a Site Manager, you will take full accountability for the performance, safety, and profitability of your site(s). This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape long-term objectives, maximise operational efficiency, and foster a strong health, safety and environmental (HS&E) culture. You’ll lead from the front, guiding your teams, optimising performance, and ensuring Vattenfall’s strategy is delivered on the ground. From overseeing budgets and availability to driving continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide visible, motivational leadership for all site staff, developing high-performing teams and managing performance.
  • Safety First: Champion HS&E culture, chair safety meetings, and ensure full compliance with policies, legislation, and emergency plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Deliver site P&L, maximise Revenue Based Availability (RBA), and manage OPEX/CAPEX to drive efficiency.
  • Planning & Delivery: Oversee service, retrofits, troubleshooting, and major component exchanges, ensuring efficient resource use.
  • People Development: Recruit, train, and nurture talent within your team, supporting career growth and wellbeing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead innovation, implement improvement initiatives, and share best practice across the portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with regional support teams, service providers, and relevant authorities.
About You

  • Proven leadership experience, ideally within energy, utilities, or a similar operational setting.
  • Strong understanding of HS&E principles and experience building safety-focused cultures.
  • Financial acumen with P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
