Job summary

A leading infrastructure company is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of all work on site. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and experience in site management. Responsibilities include planning, monitoring project progress, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining client relationships. A commitment to health and safety is essential. This role is based in Peterborough, United Kingdom.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering Civil Engineering/Construction Schemes.
  • Extensive background in site/contract management delivering contracts of similar value.
  • Solid health and safety knowledge and will hold a health and safety related qualification.

  • Plan and deliver all work on a medium sized site.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan and expenditure.
  • Provide periodic updates to clients on project/contract progress.
  • Ensure risk assessments are created and reviewed.
  • Coordinate all site-based activities in line with specifications.

A day in the life of a Murphy Site Manager:

- Plan and deliver all work on a medium sized site, ensuring work is completed on time and to the agreed standard.
- Ensure short and medium contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and delivered.
- Monitor progress periodically against the project plan and monitor expenditure for labour plant & materials, resolving issues but may escalate critical operational issues to the Project Manager.
- Line management of Section Managers and other workflow supervisors/contractors.
- Provide periodic updates to clients on project/contract progress, typically operational in nature.
- Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when require
- Review plant, labour, and materials to ensure resources are in place for the short to medium term (1-3 months).
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with the Murphy team and ensure appropriate level of client/subcontractor engagement to ensure safe timely completion of all site activities.
- Close coordination of all sites-based activities in line with customer specifications and procedures.
