You'll be joining our Environment Division, a market-leading Tier 1 contractor in the UK water sector, with national reach and a portfolio of projects ranging from water and wastewater treatment plants to major infrastructure upgrades.
Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team working on the Northumbrian Water Frameworks, delivering projects across clean and waste water treatment sites.

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing and controlling site activities to ensure safe, timely and high-quality project delivery. You will coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed in line with programme, specification and safety standards.

This is a key operational role requiring flexibility, strong leadership, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Mechanical, Electrical and Civil site installation schemes across water and wastewater treatment sites.
  • Lead daily site operations to ensure compliance with SHE legislation, contractual timescales and specifications.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation including Method Statements, Risk Assessments and testing records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and in-house teams to coordinate delivery and logistics.
  • Monitor site costs, contribute to progress reports and attend project meetings.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability and collaboration.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in the water and/or sewage sectors, ideally gained on active construction sites.

You will also bring:

  • An industry-relevant ONC / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification.
  • Site-based experience in infrastructure / water-related projects.
  • SMSTS, IOSH or CITB 5-Day Site Safety certification.
  • A relevant CSCS card, First Aid training and EUSR accreditation.
  • Organised and professional approach to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Passion for quality, safety and customer service.
