Site Manager

Civil Engineering

North West

Our client, a civil engineering contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join their expanding team to work on projects throughout the North West. Project value ranges from £2m to £10m, working across civil engineering, earthworks, and remediation projects both as main contractor and sub-contractor.

Site Manager Key Accountabilities:

  1. Ensure accurate implementation of all works on site.
  2. Produce risk assessments and method statements.
  3. Ensure work is executed in a safe manner.
  4. Manage site activities to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  5. Ordering of materials.
  6. Ordering of plant.
  7. Management of an in-house team as well as managing specialist subcontractors.
  8. Manage issues related to programme, resources, production, and productivity necessary to meet programme requirements.
  9. Lead all actions to solve technical difficulties, improve performance in terms of progress and quality.
  10. Set working parameters, ensure their application on site, and assess the performance.

Site Manager Requirements:
  1. Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent).
  2. Civil engineering experience (Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Utilities, Roads & Highways, Heavy Civils all considered).
  3. Experienced in site management.
  4. Excellent communication and people and team management skills.
