Job description

As a Delivery Agent, you will work closely with engineers, highways authorities, and housing developers to plan, organise, and support field resources across various programmes and schemes.

You will liaise with stakeholders to monitor progress, optimise daily organisation, and plan and control resources, ensuring all administration complies with CDM and temporary works requirements.

Key activities include:

  1. Engaging with the design team for new schemes to ensure prevention principles are applied.
  2. Maintaining water quality and hygiene standards within POSWSH.
  3. Producing CDM documentation such as CCPs, Permits, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  4. Supervising site activities and conducting health, safety, and quality audits.
  5. Promoting hazard reporting and ensuring issues are resolved, fostering a safety culture of zero harm and utility strikes.
  6. Engaging with developers to understand and meet their needs during operational delivery, aligned with Water UK standards.
  7. Managing third-party impacts during scheme delivery.
  8. Encouraging first-time-right culture to reduce customer contacts and delivering service excellence.
  9. Participating in commercial meetings to review performance and improvement plans.

Candidate requirements:

Understanding of water quality regulations, experience in water mains construction, and a commitment to health and safety compliance.

Qualifications such as NRSWA Supervisor accreditation, SSST/SMSTS or IOSH training, Temporary Works supervisor training, and awareness of CDM are essential.
