Position:

Must Have:
  • Experience as a Site Manager for new build housing sites - minimum 3 years
  • At least 3 years of on-site experience managing trades
  • NHBC experience, working closely with them for property sign-offs
  • Active role on-site, overseeing trades and site activities

Our client is a national house building contractor specializing in residential developments, including timber frame homes. Due to expansion, they seek an experienced Site Manager for a temp-to-perm position.

While experience in timber frame construction is advantageous, it is not essential. The ideal candidate should be confident in managing a site and coordinating trades. Please ensure your CV is current, as it will be reviewed by the contracts manager to select the most suitable candidate.

Responsibilities:
  1. Report progress to the Project/Contracts Manager
  2. Maintain health and safety procedures, including PPE, site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, work permits, and equipment inspections
  3. Ensure compliance with quality standards, manage defects, and oversee workmanship and materials
  4. Keep the site clean and organized
  5. Lead and coordinate the site team
  6. Assist in preparing the Health and Safety file
  7. Update the Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as work progresses
  8. Liaise with clients, consultants, contract administrators, and head office
  9. Manage site facilities, including welfare, toilets, offices, and the site compound
  10. Assist with project preliminaries
  11. Coordinate subcontractors
  12. Prepare and assist with site progress reports
  13. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials
  14. Complete site documentation accurately and on time
  15. Attend project and company meetings
  16. Address resident and public complaints effectively
