Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a major power infrastructure project in the North of Scotland. You will own day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to programme.

The role requires SMSTS, a strong civil engineering background and proven site management experience on substations or energy infrastructure. Immediate start on a long-term contract in the North of Scotland.

Qualifications

• Experience on substations, power, utilities, renewables or energy infrastructure projects.
• SMSTS essential.
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities to meet programme requirements.
• Oversee HV jointing, testing & commissioning, scaffold, joinery and cable pulling works.
• Ensure works are delivered safely and with quality on live infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain day-to-day site operations.

Site Manager - Power Infrastructure Project

£500/day | Immediate Start | 3 Month Contract

We're recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major power infrastructure project in the North of Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy contractor delivering critical energy works, with an immediate requirement for someone who can step into a live project and take ownership of day-to-day site operations.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. The majority of specialist works are subcontracted, with duties including overseeing:

• HV jointing teams
• Testing & commissioning activities
• Scaffold contractors
• Joinery contractors
• Cable pulling operations
• General site coordination and subcontractor management

Requirements

• Previous experience on substations, power, utilities, renewables or energy infrastructure projects
• Strong civil engineering background preferred
• Ideally progressed from a Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer or Site Agent background
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors on live infrastructure projects
• SMSTS essential
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
