Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a temporary Site Manager to cover holiday leave, covering projects across the Grimsby area and delivering planned works in social housing refurbishment. You will report to the Project Manager and lead both direct staff and sub-contractors to ensure safe, timely delivery.

The role requires knowledge of retrofit/construction works, SMSTS, CSCS, and asbestos awareness, with a full UK driving licence. DUTY to manage and drive high standards on site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC) or equivalent experience.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Scaffold inspection competency.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Asbestos awareness (duty to manage desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Planned works refurbishment experience.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bathrooms, roof lines and re-roofing.
  • Experience managing direct and sub-contracted staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, effective and timely delivery of Retrofit/Construction refurbishment projects.
  • Lead and manage direct and sub-contracted site staff.
  • Reporting into the Project Manager you will have direct responsibility for operational Site Management.
  • To lead, assess and be responsible for all retrofit/construction works with the Projects division.
  • Ensure that Company Health & Safety Policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety Managers and Advisors.
  • Maintain and produce, on request, up-to-date Health & Safety records.
  • Ensure all Environmental and Waste Management Policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors and visitors to the site are appropriately inducted.
  • Fully comply with the Company's Customer Satisfaction Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general Company Policies.
  • Ensure that procedures and controls laid down by the Company are fully implemented by all site personnel.
  • Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff. Provide training, coaching, appraisal and support as required to improve the performance of directly employed site staff.
  • Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
  • Organise regular site meetings and pre-plan and ensure efficient usage of all resources.

Job description

We require a temporary Temporary Site Manager to provide holiday cover, required until 19/8 - 11/9 (potentially additional 4 weeks).

The role will cover projects across the Grimsby area, delivering Planned Works Social Housing refurbishment.
