Job Title: Site Manager – Utilities Heat Network / Building Services

Location: SE10

Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 DOE

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (typically 9am–5pm)

Working Pattern: Hybrid – typically 3 days in the office (North Greenwich), 1 day on site, 1 day remote, although this may vary week to week depending on project needs

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands‑on Site Manager to join a busy team managing multiple small‑scale building services projects. You will be responsible for coordinating site works, liaising with engineers, contractors, and clients, and ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently an Assistant / Trainee Site Manager or Mechanical Engineer or Project engineer who wants to step into a Site Manager role

Someone with technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering, who can balance site and office responsibilities, and take ownership of projects while work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and maintenance works
  • Manage multiple small‑scale projects simultaneously
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery
  • Monitor and report on contract KPIs and performance
  • Support internal and external stakeholder management
  • Assist with small capital works projects
Candidate Requirements
  • Mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering background
  • Essential hands‑on technical experience (plant room, pumps, motors, pipework, or similar)
  • Who is currently an Assistant / Trainee Site Manager or Mechanical Engineer or Project engineer who wants to step into a Site Manager role
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently without micromanagement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CSCS card beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in utilities, water, or district heating sectors is a plus
