My client is one of the biggest family-owned construction businesses in the UK, and they are seeking a Site Manager to join their team to undertake all associated works on the gas network.

The Role

As a Site Manager, your team will be responsible for all associated works on the gas network.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment where you will manage and monitor programmed works to maximize output and minimize costs, while promoting a ‘right first time and zero harm safety culture’.

This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced manager who excels at leading teams to deliver client requirements, achieve contractual objectives, and ensure cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant H&S and environmental legislation and NRSWA specifications.
  • Highlight non-conformities and escalate issues when required.
  • Lead and manage your team, ensuring they receive high-quality training and mentoring to support their development and enable them to contribute effectively.
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement and innovative ideas.
  • Proactively manage schedules to minimize disruption and prevent mistakes.
  • Possess substantial experience in a similar role within the gas, utility, construction, service, or infrastructure environment at site management level, with significant experience managing people and demonstrating commercial awareness.
  • Hold a Streetworks (NRSWA) Supervisor accreditation, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications are essential. A civil engineering qualification and a first aid qualification are highly desirable. A full and valid driver’s license is also required. Extensive knowledge of gas and health and safety practices is essential.
