OCU Modus Limited (Part of the OCU Group) is currently looking for a Site Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our utility projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery for clients.

Your responsibilities will include managing site teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Successful candidates will focus on safety, operational excellence, and effective project management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with the latest Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
  2. Assist in developing Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and other SHEQ project documentation.
  3. Ensure adherence to Site Instructions, working methods, and responsibilities outlined in documents.
  4. Establish, monitor, and maintain Safe Systems of Work for all sites, complying with relevant RAMS.
  5. Deliver and record daily briefs.
  6. Use Toolbox Talk briefing documents appropriately for the scope of work.
  7. Plan work and labor, including requisition of subcontract labor.
  8. Manage materials, including generation and maintenance of a project BOM.
  9. Manage installation in line with design requirements and project schedule.
  10. Track and report progress regularly.
  11. Identify and report additional work items beyond scope as potential variations.
  12. Capture as-built information and assist with site hand-back documentation.
  13. Provide feedback and records to assist report collation for clients.
  14. Check certification and authorization of all team members and visitors prior to site entry.
  15. Report accidents and incidents per company and client procedures.
  16. Ensure safety-critical work complies with legislation and client requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Site Management role within the utility sector, with demonstrated knowledge or skills in relevant areas.
  2. Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
  3. Practical experience in site and people management.
  4. Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
  5. Advocate for continuous improvement.
  6. Proven track record of successful project delivery.
