Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. They will ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement and liaise with suppliers and clients.
  • Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on project costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support junior quantity surveyors and provide mentorship and guidance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in construction or engineering projects.
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
