Our Client, a leader in the renewable energy industry, is currently seeking a skilled Site Manager with a background in electrical work to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage various on-site activities, ensuring the successful completion of renewable projects.

Role Summary: As a Site Manager for Our Client, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities related to projects. From managing site workers and subcontractors to ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, this role plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site activities including land preparation, foundation works, panel installation, and electrical connections
  • Manage and coordinate site workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules to ensure timely project completion
  • Ensure installations comply with technical drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and industry standards
  • Supervise testing of PV modules, inverters, and electrical systems to verify functionality
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure adherence to local building codes and environmental regulations
  • Monitor materials delivery, storage, and usage to optimise resource allocation
  • Track expenditures and oversee equipment management to stay within budget
  • Provide regular updates to project owners or clients on progress and challenges
  • Address unexpected issues, conflicts, and manage disputes among team members
  • Conduct performance testing of PV modules and prepare detailed handover documentation for clients
  • Provide basic training for the operations team on system maintenance and functionality

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the renewable energy or electrical industry
  • Strong understanding of solar panel installations, electrical connections, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, engineers, and team members
  • Problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges and conflicts
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and budget management

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Certifications in project management or relevant electrical qualifications
  • Experience with commissioning solar projects and performance testing
  • Familiarity with software tools for project scheduling and management
