Job description

Straight–Line Civils is currently hiring a Site Manager to oversee 12 sites across the UK:

  • Lincoln
  • North Devon
  • Watford, Hertfordshire
  • Norfolk
  • An island west of Scotland
  • Ludlow, Shropshire
  • Crawley, West Sussex
  • North Pennies, near Carlisle
  • Aberdeen, Scotland
  • Dumfries, Scotland (near English Border)

The candidate will be expected to visit all 12 sites as required. All expenses including fuel, accommodation, food, and potentially a company car will be covered, in addition to the base salary.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Conduct all on-site inductions
  • Perform daily 10-minute briefings
  • Review RAMS and send for approval
  • Ensure high standards of Health and Safety are met
  • Attend relevant site meetings
  • Ensure all documentation is stored correctly
  • Comply with the construction phase plan
  • Create future construction phase plans

Background, tickets, qualifications:

  • Experience working as part of a Tier 1/2 contractor team
  • Experience on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience managing work at heights
  • Good understanding of administrative controls on site
  • SMSTS certification
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • CSCS card
  • Any H+S related qualification (not essential)
  • Security clearance

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus all subsidies (estimated around £15,000)
