Job summary

CPR Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a large residential development in Ebbsfleet, Kent. You will work under the Site Manager to ensure safe, efficient delivery of homes, coordinating trades, monitoring progress and maintaining quality.

The role offers progression within a well-established housebuilder with a permanent, on-site position. Key responsibilities include inspections, snagging, maintaining records, and ensuring safety standards are met on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager or similar in residential construction.
• Experience on volume housebuilding or large residential developments.
• Knowledge of construction processes and sequencing.
• Strong health and safety understanding.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Proactive approach with attention to detail.
• CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications desirable/required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades.
• Monitor build progress against programme and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Ensure works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with company specifications.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and snagging.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed across the site.
• Conduct inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings where required.
• Assist with maintaining site records and documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider construction team.
• Help identify and resolve any issues that could impact programme, quality or safety.
• Support the Site Manager in delivering a safe, well-organised and efficient site.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a leading volume housebuilding company on a large residential development in Ebbsfleet, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career within a well-established housebuilder, working on a large-scale residential scheme and gaining valuable experience across all aspects of site delivery.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You will play a key role in coordinating trades and subcontractors, monitoring progress and maintaining high standards throughout the build programme.

• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Relevant construction qualifications.
• CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications are desirable/required depending on experience.
