Job description

The Vacancy

Wates have an opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Wates team within our Planned Works division. You will be working in the Greenwich area on one of our contracts. The primary focus of this role will be to ensure a project is built safely, economically to the agreed timescales and quality standards. You will be working on retrofit and net zero carbon works.

Key Accountabilities will include:
  1. Lead and manage all on-site activities related to the retrofit project.
  2. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  3. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  4. Implement and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  5. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
  6. Generate regular progress reports for clients and project managers.
  7. Attend pre and post-inspection works and advise on appropriate action and job requirements, and assist with design solutions resulting in the successful delivery and handover of schemes.

You must have:
  1. Full accreditation in asbestos awareness, scaffold inspections.
  2. SMSTS required.
  3. Full UK Driving License
  4. Must hold a valid first aid certificate.

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a successful track record of completing internal and external planned maintenance works.

To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach to providing site leadership. You will have strong IT skills (including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with the ability to prioritise a wide range of tasks to set deadlines.
